The recording of the second RESQTOOL training webinar, “Boosting circularity in the W and Co supply chains for hardmetals”, is now available online!
Held on 11th May 2026, this session is part of the RESQTOOL training series designed to support the transition towards more circular and sustainable hardmetal value chains. Bringing together expertise from both research and industry, the webinar focused on practical approaches to improving data management, traceability and overall transparency across the tungsten and cobalt supply chains.
The session opened with an introduction by Bruno Vicenzi (EPMA), setting the scene on how RESQTOOL contributes to reducing dependency on critical raw materials in Europe. Then the two lectures:
- Aaron Jennings (Irish Manufacturing Research) addressed the importance of structured data collection and value chain mapping as key enablers for circularity strategies. In the final presentation;
- Tove Jensen (Seco Tools) highlighted how traceability plays a central role in improving recycling efficiency and supporting more transparent and resilient supply chains.
Together, these contributions provided a clear picture of how better data and traceability can help close material loops, enhance resource efficiency, and accelerate the transition towards circular business models in the hardmetal sector.
