This webinar will take participants on a journey through the tungsten (W) and cobalt (Co) hardmetal value chain, exploring how part traceability can act as a key enabler for a more circular and sustainable supply chain, one of the core ambitions of the RESQTOOL project.

As RESQTOOL progresses, this training series will continue to expand, building a growing body of knowledge. This second session is therefore essential viewing for anyone with an interest in the circular economy, critical raw materials, advanced materials, and, more specifically, hardmetals.

Programme and speakers

The webinar will open with an introduction by Bruno Vicenzi (EPMA), Dissemination and Communication Leader of the RESQTOOL project. Two experts from the consortium will then share their perspectives and hands‑on experience:

  • “Sustainable Data Collection and Mapping: Understanding Your Value Chain”
    Aaron Jennings (Irish Manufacturing Research)
Gain deeper insight into how complex value chains can be mapped, analysed, and understood to support sustainability and circularity strategies.
  • “The Role of Traceability in the Circularity Transition of the Hardmetal Value Chain”
    Tove Jensen (Seco Tools)
Discover how individual part identification and traceability solutions can significantly enhance circularity in hardmetal production and recycling.
